Client not showing all cpus

Post by Eula »

Currently is the system info tab of the client it is only showing 32 CPUs. I have just recently upgraded to a e5-2669 v4 which is 22 cores with 44 threads. The client states it sees 32 CPU's. I am not sure if this is normal or have I not configured something correctly?

here is the read out from the log:

Depending on which version of Windows you're running, it does have some limitations that are difficult to decipher. Here's a mulit-page discussion that covers some of the same issues.
Whats the best setup for a dual Xeon E5 2697v2? (...and there are others.)
Some of those limitations can be avoided by running Linux instead of Windows but that's entirely your decision -- and not a decision to be made lightly.

Once you get your system to recognize all 44 cores, you'll still run into sertain FAH limitations which can be solved by creating multiple CPU slots not exceeding 32 CPUs per slot. The GROMACS code used by FAH in FAHCore_a5 also has a number of limitations on which will vary depending on the project assigned. If you're not already running FAHClient's beta v7.4.16, I recommend you install it.
