Screwed Up, I think

Post by M1aSocom2 »

I folded 10 WU's after starting last night, I did not join a team though...so I just joined the 224497 team. Does this mean no cure coins? I am guessing so.
Also I am running two GTX 1070's they say the combined PPD is around 1262306, just curious if this is decent. I lowered my cpu (i7-6700k) to 4.2 as it was overclocked to 4.7 but that was generating too much sustained volts/heat/fan noise. The gpu's are at +100 and +600 on oc. Power is at 90%.

No idea about Curecoins, this website is support for Folding@Home, not Pseudo-currency.

WUs done with out a team remain in your name, but never move to a team. Only WUs done while signed in as a team are credited to that team.

If you overclock, you want to study your logs. Frequent failures will produce less PPD than reliable results at a lower frequency.

As JimboPalmer has said, we're a support site for Folding@home. FAH's objective is to accept your contributions for scientific research. We're not related to any cryptocurrency site and don't support them ... but they do support us. For an answer to you're question, you'll have to visit their site.

If your objective is to contribute to science, you didn't screw up ... you contribution to science will be used.

If your only objective is to earn curecoins, you have screwed up. Please re-read their tutorial, which explains how to join the curecoin team and why you should do that.

Science does not require a team or it accepts any registered team; Curecoin does require their team.

If you have questions about the FAH research, its software or its performance, please come back and ask.

PPD 1262306 = 2 x 630k PPD for two 1070 GPUs looks good. Only counts for curecoins since you are part of the curecoin team.

Glad to know that the gpu's are performing. Should I join a different team? I am not a "miner" and only stumbled upon this. I have done Prime95 for a couple weeks but I got worried about the stress it was putting on the cpu. Other than the occasional game, my pc runs idle.

Just fyi memory overclock on the gpu don't help fah but you may get a better oc on the core by dropping the memory speed.

Just pick the team you like the most. You might also choose it with criteria of the amount of support you'll get from them ... or the criteria of how much affinities you'll have with other members ...

We can't tell you which team to join since we are team agnostic here on Folding Forum.

... and until you choose a team, there's nothing wrong with folding for team 0.

I don't follow professional soccer, so I don't have any idea which team I should support.
