Client Connection Issue

Post by MNEMOSYNE23 »

I have installed the client software, and the status shows that the client is online, but "Inactive". On the 3D visualization, the status remains at "connected", but "Loading". I have the client working without issues on another machine, but I am out of ideas on this one. Anyone having an issue like this, or have any additional ideas? Thanks in advance!

This is in my notes but it's for Linux

connecting inactive If the control screen is grayed out and configure only has the connection tab the folding client isn't starting. This can happen especially after changing or replacing graphics cards.
rm /etc/fahclient/config.xml
reinstall the client
reboot

Changing GPUs in Windows also requires re-installation of FAHClient.

It can also happen if the Windows firewall decides to block the connection between FAHControl and FAHClient.
