'On idle' doesn't work; viewer shows demo; Web Control port

Installed recently on Windows 8.1 64-bit, and while it's basically working, there are a few issues.

[1] I can't get the 'On idle' function to work. Are there settings controlling this feature that don't appear in the UI?

[2] The viewer only ever shows Demo data. I tried using both CPU and GPU slots, which made no difference.

[3] Default links to Web Control don't work. Pointing my browser to localhost on port 7396 does work.

The viewer has been broken for a while now, it's a known issue.

If the web interface isn't working, you could try the advanced control. Look for the Folding@home icon in the tool tray (you might have to select Show Hidden Icons to see it), right click on it & select Advanced Control. There's a Light/Medium/Full slider there; set it to Light & see if that works.

Problems 1 and 2 were resolved by updating to version 7.6.9.
