Active clients stats incorrect

Post by Kilrha »

First off, I apologize if this is the wrong place for this. This forum is confusing.

I've been using folding at home for quite a while now, doing multiple work units every day.
Yet my stats report that I've only had 2 active clients within 7 days and 4 within 50 days.

Not a serious problem at all as everything else displays correctly, I was just wondering.

Welcome to Folding@Home!

As an example, if you have a single PC doing both CPU folding, and GPU folding then you have 2 active clients.
there are various reasons why it might have reset in the last 50 days, so it counts the same two twice.

You do not mention what you feel is the right number of clients.

You may be misunderstanding the app … could you post a screen capture of this and post it … if you are using looking at https://apps.foldingathome.org/cpu this is simply showing "have returned within" not how many and will simply list most recent CPU on each slot (iirc) - if that is the confusion.

oh ok I misunderstood then. I thought the number would go up by 1 every day to a max of 50 if you're active.
Weird that the 50 days one shows 4 then because I only use a single pc with GPU and CPU folding.

Adding a passkey may be one of the reasons mentioned by JimboPalmer … Possibly also a reinstall or removal/new folding slot … but I am speculating - unsure if there is "a list" anywhere of what may cause this, but it does happen.

yeah I had to reinstall recently since the client wouldn't launch anymore.
