CUDA and OpenCL not dectected

okay, so....

i've spent many hours going through the forum trying all the solutions for this problem and i am still stuck.

client automatically disables all GPUs due to CUDA and OpenCL not detected.

1. in Ubuntu i've updated and upgraded all libraries, apps, and drivers
2. installed all components of ocl-icd. but i do not know if i need to configure anything after this

This is what i get when i run clinfo:
NULL platform behavior

Stop changing directories. FAHClient should always start (AND STAY) in the same directory. It needs to be started as a service in the one place it can put its working files. That's why you've been provided with a script that starts the service in a consistent way.

i installed it from the GUI.

do you happen to know the https for sudo apt-get install?

that way i can just install it from the terminal

good news/bad news.

i no longer have the the "CUDA/OpenCL not detected problem." i am seeing at 200% increase in PPD

however,

1. the client no longer lists the GPUs as folding slots
2. my GPU utilization is at 0%

Can you please reduce the verbosity level to 3 (the default), restart your client and then post a fresh copy of the log file? We now need to see what the client is doing :)

I looked for the setting to change verbosity but could not find it. i did not change the default. i just copied the whole thing. not very long

Humm... the log file that you posted isn't the first 100 lines that I was expecting. Since this has been resolved here (viewtopic.php?f=61&t=36641), there's no need for the log file since everything is working as expected :)

If you updated from an older version of the F@h client, you may have set the verbosity from a menu item that was removed a few revisions ago. You would have to go to the Expert tab in Configure to undo that setting, Extra client option 'verbosity' set to a value of 3 which is the default setting.

UPDATE...

changing to <gpu v='true'/> in config file WORKED!!!! OMG!!! IT'S ALIVE!!!

PPD has increased 3,000% since i started this post. it's still climbing!!!!

I love this community. Thank you all who got me to this point!!!!!!!!!!
