Unable to install V7 7.1.52 Linux in Fedora 17

Postby WhitehawkEQ » Tue Feb 25, 2014 1:03 pm

I need help to install V7 7.1.52 Linux in Fedora 17, the client installs ok but control won't install, keeps asking for python(abi) = 2.6 and I can't find hide nor hair of it anywhere. I did find out that the windows version comes with the install file.
What burns me is that if V7 Linux needs python, why did it not come with it, like with windows V7?

Why use such an old version of the client? Newer versions tend to work better with newer operating systems, like matching the python version.

I get the same thing with the newest version as well, plus I like 7.1.52 better.

It's actually in the FAH V7 Linux Install Guide, under the Terminal Install section (Fedora), last NOTE in the paragraph.
