Hi everyone,
I am new to Folding (Just started 2 weeks ago) and currently folding on a Pre-fermi GPU (G84, 8600GTS)
I am currently (apart from the server maintance issue) receiving Core 11 WUs but noticed that older cores like Core 11 have been announced they are to be retired.
What other cores will run on Pre-fermi hardware?

Only core 11 can work on older GPUs like your 8600GTS. As you've already noticed core 11 will eventually be phased out but according to the blog announcement may have one or more years of folding usability left.
