Error FAULTY Projects 13105 & 13106

If you think it might be a driver problem, see viewforum.php?f=79

Error FAULTY Projects 13105 & 13106

Post by bcavnaugh »

More Core 21 Bad Work Units. Cards are AMD R9 290X & I am not overclocking. Driver info below.
Going on now for over the last 8 Days.

BAD_WORK_UNIT
error:FAULTY project:13106 run:2 clone:42 gen:20 core:0x21
error:FAULTY project:13105 run:3 clone:8 gen:69 core:0x21
error:FAULTY project:13105 run:6 clone:18 gen:85 core:0x21

Maybe for the AMD GPUs 16.3.2 is not the best driver for Folding.
I will wait for the current tasks to complete and then update to the Hotfix Version 16.4.1.

When you remove the 16.3.2 Driver and Software is does not remove the Vulkan Drivers.
You have to do this separately under "Programs and Features" Vulkan

I removed Dope from the below line
Doh! the Driver made no Difference.
error:FAULTY project:13106 run:2 clone:21 gen:61 core:0x21

It means that the issue is not in the WU, but (maybe) with your hardware or drivers ...

Yes we all know this, I call anything to do with Folding Stanford now.

We all had Core 21 issues before, took awhile but Stanford did come around and post as so and even pulled them back for a while.
Also last time it was Only on the NVIDIA Side and not on the AMD Side, now it seems to be on Both Sides NVIDIA & AMD/ATI.

Someone recommended DDU recently and it seemed to do what I wanted.

I rechecked the projects 13105, _06 listed above

We have very limited ability to check who has what hardware (in case it might have something to do with hardware or drivers) but from what I can see, they were completed by folks who have AMD GPUs. I.e. - they don't happen to work better on NV than AMD.

Some have Windows and some have Linux.

A couple were completed by your teammates, so hopefully you'll get additional information from them if they read your team forum.
