Folding fails with GeForce 9800 GT

It seems that a lot of GPU problems revolve around specific versions of drivers. Though NVidia has their own support structure, you can often learn from information reported by others who fold.

Folding fails with GeForce 9800 GT

The log seems to indicate an unstable system is the cause of the failure. I tried installing the latest driver, but no go. I have a GeForce 9800 GT in this system with Windows Vista 64-bit. Below is the log.

Any ideas how to fix this?

Were you folding OK on this card before? Unstable machine errors are frequently caused by heat/overclocking.
If overclocked reduce to stock, check the fan is working and what the temps are, on a 9800GT on a unit like that my old ones used to go up to the low 70c's.
I would check these things first. You may have gone into a 24hr shut down as well due to failing so often so you will need to reboot and watch for this again.. If it continues stop it for now no use wasting all these units.

Would you happen to be using Remote Desktop to access PC? Try VNC instead.

I noticed that no cuda thing, so this is related to using remote desktop? Must file that under useful stuff to remember .

7im, you nailed it. I was using Remote Desktop to update the system. I rebooted and went to the system console and it works fine. Thanks!!
