Driver 337.50 beta & 337.61 beta

It seems that a lot of GPU problems revolve around specific versions of drivers. Though NVidia has their own support structure, you can often learn from information reported by others who fold.

Driver 337.50 beta & 337.61 beta

Post by heikosch »

Does anyone sucessfully managed to use that driver for folding?

I tried it and F@H rejected to fold.
Sorry, I forgot to copy the error message and reverted to 327.23.

I've been running them on my 780s since the day they were released without any issues. Of course, being GK110, they are not affected by the low-PPD issues that GK104 has seen since 331.xx.

I am using it with a 780 and haven't had any problems and it seems like a small improvement in PPD but I haven't had the time to really look at the numbers in HFM. Then I tried it out on one of my GT 640's and the PPD on project 13001 went from ~17,000 to 4000 so I went back to 320.18.

Today I gave it a second (and third) try. Result:

Despite a previous uninstall of the older driver and use of DDU utility Geforce 337.50 beta doesn´t install correctly.
So the generic Microsoft driver is used, which can´t be used for folding.

EDIT: The problem is fixed with Geforce 337.61 beta (installation problem with active Hyper-V fixed). :D
