Best driver in Mint for GTX-760

It seems that a lot of GPU problems revolve around specific versions of drivers. Though NVidia has their own support structure, you can often learn from information reported by others who fold.

When I last updated my drivers I went from 346.35 to 355.11, which seemed more stable but gave a drop in PPD of ~5%.

Might I be better off by dropping back to 346.96?

sorry, a little late here, but as far as I know for best folding with a 760 in linux mint you'll want the 304 legacy driver. If they've fixed the newer drivers for gk104 and older cards I'd love to know about it. We can dream I guess.

I'm using 353 in Ubuntu for my 750ti. Should I downgrade? I'm getting around 70-80k ppd with that setup.

No, your 750ti is Maxwell based unlike the 760 GPU and most of the other 700 series cards.
