It seems that a lot of GPU problems revolve around specific versions of drivers. Though NVidia has their own support structure, you can often learn from information reported by others who fold.

Nvidia ends support for 32bit

Post by Anton Thynell »

Nvidia has ceased to support 32bit platform.

You can read more here:

If you’re running a 32-bit version of Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10, or any flavour of Linux, and you rely on Nvidia graphics cards for folding this is a good excuse to treat yourself to a system upgrade.

It has been years since I have used a 32 bit OS (by years I mean more than a decade). So I am happy that they end support and focus the resources on 64 bit driver
