gt635m 391.35 installed from nvidia

It seems that a lot of GPU problems revolve around specific versions of drivers. Though NVidia has their own support structure, you can often learn from information reported by others who fold.

all slots set to -1 at the moment in config.

ERROR:exception: Error initializing context: clGetDeviceInfo (-5) is the same error I get from FAhBench when FAH is running, I get results from FAHBench when FAH is not running. I don't get results at other times.
I think I get results from FAHBanch when index is set to 1, but I am not sure.

Where am I going wrong?

According to TechPowerUp that GPU doesn't support OpenCL 1.2, so I don't think it's going to work. You can still do CPU folding.

Yep, I was digging around in Caps Viewer and saw "OpenCL 1.1 CUDA" against version.

Problem solved.

It appears it is WU dependent, I received and folded yesterday.

This GPU has Double Precision (FP64) support, so it should work ... but it might be too slow to meet the deadlines.

Hmmm. So why does FAH's hardware detection say ...Slot:0 Compute:1.1...

If it supports hardware DP, shouldn't it say 1.2?

Well, I guess we were all wrong about this OpenCL 1.2 theory ... :
OpenCL 1.0 adds support for double precision floating-point as an optional extension. An application that wants to use double will need to include the #pragma OPENCL EXTENSION cl_khr_fp64 : enable directive before any double precision data type is declared in the kernel code.
From : https://www.khronos.org/registry/OpenCL ... _fp64.html
OpenCL 1.1 supports double precision floating-point as an optional extension. An application that wants to use double will need to include the #pragma OPENCL EXTENSION cl_khr_fp64 : enable directive before any double precision data type is declared in the kernel code.
From : https://www.khronos.org/registry/OpenCL ... _fp64.html
cl_khr_fp64
Provided for backward compatibility if double floating-point precision is supported.
#pragma OPENCL EXTENSION cl_khr_fp64 : enable

The 64-bit double scalar and corresponding vector types are optional types that are supported if CL_DEVICE_DOUBLE_FP_CONFIG in the table of allowed values for param_name for clGetDeviceInfo for a device is not zero.
From : https://www.khronos.org/registry/OpenCL ... _fp64.html

So we have to stick to this guide line : G8x/G9x and GT2xx GPUs doesn't have hardware support of FP64, but starting with Fermi (GFxxx) GPUs, DP is supported.

I had the same issue with a GT520M and hit exactly the same effects.

First i had my old NVIDIA drivers installed, giving me these clDeviceID (-1) error, sometimes posted here in formu already.
This was solved by installing latest NVIDIA driver directly from NVIDIA (as laptop manufacturer won't updates it anymore)

Second then i run into your clGetDeviceInfo (-5) error. Looking around i came to the same folding bench mark and got the same trouble there.
ERROR:exception: Error initializing context: clGetDeviceInfo (-5)

This could be solved by following procedure.
Starting NVIDIA Control panel and going to "Change Screen settings with preview" (or something similar labeled in your system language).
(This starts a low performace anti aliasing rendering on NVIDIA GPU) -> i can see this in the NVIDIA optimus GPU-Activity program in my task bar.
-> Thus now NVIDIA card is always powered on (Optimus extension)

If i now run FaHbench it works in all settings (CPU, GPU single precision and GPU double precision) It gives me following results:
1.01 with CPU (on one core)
2.2 with GPU single precision (with 3 GPU cores used)
0.4 with GPU double precision (with 4 GPU cores used)

Anyway as soon as GPU is used heat siginificantly goes up, couldn't yet say what happend if f@h utilizes all avalibale Cores at the same time ... but it should give some additional calculation powers.
