GPU not recognized GTX 1650 4gb

It seems that a lot of GPU problems revolve around specific versions of drivers. Though NVidia has their own support structure, you can often learn from information reported by others who fold.

GPU not recognized GTX 1650 4gb

Postby Papagoth » Sun Apr 26, 2020 7:07 pm

Hey all,

I've been using the folding at home program, for a few weeks now. I've had to do a clean OS install recently
and now FAH is only recognizing my CPU, but not my GPU. All my drivers are up-to-date, and I just did the
nuclear option on my PC yesterday.

Anyone know how I can correct this, to get the FAH control and Web Control to recognize my GPU. Again
it worked just fine, before I had to recover from a corrupted OS.

Cheers,
PapaGoth

Welcome to the F@H Forum Papagoth

This is a known issue for a fresh installation of V7.6.9 on a GPU system, here's a workaround for you (Windows system):
Manually download the GPUs.txt file from here: https://apps.foldingathome.org/GPUs.txt (right-click save as GPUs.txt)
Exit the client
Copy the GPUs.txt file from the Downloads folder to %AppData%\FAHClient\
Reboot your system
Start up the client and ensure that you can see your GPU in the log file
Add a GPU slot from FAHControl -> Configure -> Slots tab -> Add -> GPU -> OK -> Save

If you have any other issues, then please post your log file. Guidance is provided here: viewtopic.php?f=24&t=26036
