New 390x causing shutdown on anything above Light settings

It seems that a lot of GPU problems revolve around specific versions of drivers. Though AMD has their own support structure, you can often learn from information reported by others who fold.

If it's stable and at 100% load at 75C, then that's probably OK. Can you get the temp down via airflow management? The cooler it runs, the longer it will likely last...

75°C is perfectly fine for an Hawaii GPU. I have a 290X with reference design, and it is designed to keep the GPU at 94°C

OK. I read a piece of a review somewhere that indicated it started throttling at 75C. May have been an error or a particular mfgr's implementation.

Not so crazy when you known that this kind of chips termal cutoff is usually slightly above 100°C. For instance, it's 100°C for most Intel desktop CPUs, 106°C on the G80/G92 NV GPUs, ...

If it isn't crashing, and the temps are stable, you're good!

However, if you plan to continue building your computers, this may be a good time to experiment with some airflow tweaking, and see how cool you can get it. At this level, cooler is better, even if it is within limits. Besides, the more heat you get out of the case, the more heat is in your room! ;)

"Solid Gear Neutron 750watt PSU" that's the risk of buying a generic branded PSU, always buy brand that are know well like corsair,seasonic,FSP,bequiet!etc...
