New install latest Lubuntu. I installed drivers from AMD site. Works fine except FAH. FAH configured and downloads work unit, then returns bad work unit. Also, CPU usage at 100%. It will run for about 10 min before bad work unit message. Same computer on Win7 runs same video card fine. HELP

Which drivers did you install? Did you follow the Linux Install Guide?

As far as I can tell, the first GPU WU issued a (recoverable) error message, but did not recover, and after 6 minutes you deleted the slot.
Second one did nothing beyond 0%, after 23 minutes you deleted the slot.
Third one did nothing beyond 0%, after 32 minutes you shut down (?)

This suggests a problem with the drivers, but I am not familiar enough with AMD drivers to suggest how to correct it.

SOLVED - After you install AMD driver and reboot, you must run "sudo amdconfig --initial" in a terminal window. Then reboot and fahclient will work properly.

It initializes the xorg config file. But, after reboot I am back to square one. Problem has reemerged. High CPU usage and fahclient asking if I am overclocking. Running everything at stock. Did get to 17% done on GPU before problem.

You're not the only one having troubles with AMD GPU on Linux, see here for instance : viewtopic.php?f=96&t=28504

Is there a chance that you could try Windows on this machine to eliminate the possibility of a hardware issue ?

Same machine on WIN7 64 ran fine. Did not want to buy another windows OS. Had 2 GTX 970's running in Linux with little problem. R9 NANO in Windows was getting @ 350,00 PPD
