Radeon Software Version 17.9.3 recommended

It seems that a lot of GPU problems revolve around specific versions of drivers. Though AMD has their own support structure, you can often learn from information reported by others who fold.

Radeon Software Version 17.9.3 has solved my issues with video crashes and "Windows is recovering..." messages. I recommend updating.

What is your GPU model and OS? Did you get those errors when doing something else in parallel to FAH?
Good to hear the 17.9.3 driver is working for you.

I am running a modified Dell Precision 390 with an Intel Core 2 Quad Q6700 @2.66 GHz, 8GB PC2-6400 RAM, with two video cards: Sapphire R9 290X and MSI R9 390. Running all at stock speeds and the OS is Windows 10 Pro. Photo.

No other programs were running, and I was no longer using the CPU cores to run F@h. The screen would flash blank and the system would usually recover. Sometimes it would stop running fah on the external GPU, the R9 390.
