I gave up on trying to get my RX480 on Linux Mint Tricia 19.3 working. I just don't have the experience it apparently takes to make Linux work with hardware that is apparently very weakly supported. At least the Ryzen 3700X occasionally gets a job. I'm not running out to buy another GPU either, maybe something will change or someone who knows how to make this easy on those of us who lack the expertise will figure out a solution.
