RX580 not folding / utilised

It seems that a lot of GPU problems revolve around specific versions of drivers. Though AMD has their own support structure, you can often learn from information reported by others who fold.

RX580 not folding / utilised

Hi Guys,

Brand new to folding. Found this project via the GamesRadar article about using my gaming rig to tackle COVID-19. Sounds a great idea.

My set up is
AMD Ryzen 2600 6C/12T CPU
16GB DDR4 RAM
AMD Radeon RX580 8GB GPU
2TB SSD storage
100mbps DSL

Running Windows 10 (fully patched) and the latest AMD 2020 drivers.

I've downloaded and installed the client, which is now running but on CPU only. GPU is showing but sitting as ready only. Is there another step I need to finish to enable GPU folding?

Thanks for that. Might well be that. Great there's so much new support.

I'll leave it crunching on CPU overnight and hope it picks up a GPU WU soon :)

I have the opposite problem. Running on a following rig:
AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 8C/16T
16GB DDR4 RAM (3200)
AMD Radeon RX580 8GB GPU
1TB SSD PCIe Gen4
250mbps DSL

My GPU is chewing on, but my CPU is rolling it's thumbs
Hope the servers will be fixed soon.

Edit: Now the CPU is also chewing on...

What kind of PPD are you seeing? My RX580's show 40k to 80k but I read in older posts they should be at 300k.

The higher PPD probably includes the QRB from using a passkey.

If you search on passkey here you will see that some are having troubles getting them by email. They are working on that, hopefully fixed soon.

Quick Return Bonus? Is PPD not the best way to measure the performance then? I just want to know that my GPU's are performing like they should.

I'm getting around 600k PPD as it stands from my RX580 when both GPU's are being utilised (which hasn't been often with the server issues the last few days).
