Vega 56 wont fold

It seems that a lot of GPU problems revolve around specific versions of drivers. Though AMD has their own support structure, you can often learn from information reported by others who fold.

Vega 56 wont fold

Post by hasho »

My rig has a Ryzen Threadripper 2920x CPU which is folding fine but my three Vega 56 cards do not pick up any work. The GPu are recognized but do not get connected to anything. Looking forward to advice, I have 100s of these rigs to put to work once I have details worked out. This is a win 10 system, my other rigs are all on Debian / Mint / Ubuntu 64 builds on Intel 4900 CPU, but running 12 cards each.

UPDATE - 1 GPU has started working.

Good to see you got some work, the servers are currently getting more requests than they can provide work for. It may take some time to get WU's until the servers can finish being expanded.

Can we setup work servers on VPS? Happy to help add servers with Workloads, just need pointed in the right direction.
