Whitelist/Blacklist Change-Log (Greylist)

Post by 7im »

I added these 27 IDs 2 days ago. This is not a complete NV list yet, though close (some of these are not yet on the market). I'll pull the newest NV driver next week and run a comparison on the device list in the driver vs. our GPUs.txt to make sure I have all the released devices added. Then I'll do the AMD driver list after that and hopefully fill in more of the Bonaire model numbers.

Note the GKxxx descriptions as not known if GK108 or GK208 yet.

Hi Tim.

Can you please get Nvidia Geforce GTX 770 added as well? (10DE 1184, according to GPU-Z.)

I've got two of 'em here, anxious and chomping at the bit to get going. :) Thank you!

I can publish a new GPUs.txt in about an hour from now. I'll post when done.

EDIT: Done. Delete the GPUs.txt file from the client data folder, and restart the client. It will download a fresh copy.

GPUs.txt download/update failure...

Post by FaaR »

GPUs.txt, as located in users/xxx/appdata/roaming/fahclient (or whatever)? I moved it out to the desktop and started up the client, it's not downloading nuttin... :( Is there some procedure I can go through to coax it into doing what it's supposed to do on its own, because as it is right now the client seems perfectly happy to run with this file entirely missing. I also can't see anything in the log about the file being missing and failing to download a replacement or anything like that either... *shrug*

*Edit: I went to the sticky-thread and manually DL:d and copied the file to the appropriate location. F@H now detects my GPUs when I add folding slots for them and have started running work on them.

Glad to hear you got it working.

The auto download of the GPUs.txt file only works in the last 2 most recent client versions. What version are you running?

Just bought a new laptop with an NVidia GT 745M with a different device ID. The one on file in the whitelist is 0x0fe2, but this guy is a 0x0fe3

Got it to detect the GPU by modifying GPUs.txt, but it's not grabbing any work units yet. Patience, I suppose? :)

I added that GPU to the master-list!

Modifying your local GPUs.txt isn't enough. The master list is at PG and without changing that you won't get any WU's. i.e. Patience isn't enough.

donkom, you'll need to download the new GPUs.txt file that P5-133XL has updated. Then it will work. It goes in the FAHClient data folder.

I also checked the latest drivers from NV (320.49 dated 20130701) and AMD (v13.6 beta dated 20130607) and found a few new AMD devices. Added and Published.

Actually 7im, modifying my own local whitelist and having the master list on the server side also updated was enough to get the WUs coming; first one will complete sometime overnight.

Every little bit helps, right? :)

Not recommended, but as long as you got the format right, that obviously works. Downloading the new file is aways best.
