OS X 10.9 Install

Postby fiatlux » Sat Dec 07, 2013 3:12 am

The client installer hangs on the Installation Type where the Install button being depressed does not actually do the installation. I have 65GB space left so the 87.1MB is not the problem.

Suggestions?

Welcome to the F@H Forum fiatlux,

Is there any reason that you are using v6 and not V7? Please note that the latest release is V7.3.6 which you can download from here (http://folding.stanford.edu/home/the-software/).

87.1 MB is consistent with the reported space needed in the 7.3.6 installer. Did you just post in the wrong area of the forum? You do need to be using an Admin account to do the install, and should be prompted for the admin password.

I'm moving this discussion from the V6 section of the forum (Board index ‹ V6 Client software ‹ Intel Mac V6 client) to the V7 section of the forum on the assumption he posted in the wrong section. If he does come back and really does want information about the previous release of the client, it can be moved back.

Also, if the installer shows the select a disk panel, you have to click the boot drive to continue.

See install guide http://folding.stanford.edu/home/guide/osx-install-guide/
