Visualization software - cycling problem?

Postby madtom1999 » Fri Dec 20, 2013 12:13 pm

When the viewer is set to cycle most of the time it just presents a blank image and then occasionally a protein pops in and out of view.
I guess this is because the snapshots are not avaialable - is it possible to configure it to only show those that are there so any animation is useful?

There is no option to display only certain snapshots.

Please post the PRCG numbers for that WU for possible diagnosis.

Welcome to the F@H Forum madtom1999,

Could you please post the initial section of your log which contains the system information and F@H configuration (viewtopic.php?f=61&t=16206&p=225958#p225958)? Also, are you using the latest WHQL Drivers for your GPU or not?

Go to the upper right corner of the WebClient and report the bug while the WU you're (not) seeing is still active. Record the URL and post it here.

There are a couple of issues that it might be and we need to capture some additional information (like the snapshots) while they're available to learn more about them.

FAHViewer requires OpenGL version 2.0 for the advanced mode. If it is using basic mode, than it required OpenGL version 1.1. Generally speaking, this is achieved by installing the GPU drivers. Can you please check what OpenGL version is supported on your system?

I've just noticed that if I launch the viewer from the control panel the display is fine. If I launch it independently from the menu it performs intermittently.
