Client-type advanced

On a computer running both cpu and gpu slots, is it possible to allow the gpu to get advanced WUs but the cpu to only get normal ones?

OS is Linux if it matters.

Yes.

See the linux install guide. It covers adding settings to individual slots (local) vs. adding settings to all slots (global).

Edit: It's referenced from the Install Guide, but got moved to the Configuration Guide. https://folding.stanford.edu/home/guide/configuration-guide/

Yes. Don't set the option on the "Expert" tab, but set it on the individual slot (under Slots, select the tab and click Edit.)

Thanks both.

I wondered if it could be done that way, but the list of options I looked at (https://fah-web.stanford.edu/projects/F ... tUserGuide) wasn't too clear about it.

And I'll confess I didn't think to check the install guide

If I want to set both the cpu and gpu to advanced I can either do it globally in the "Expert" tab or individually in "Slots"- the latter gives me more flexibility if I change my mind for any reason, is there any disadvantage/problem to doing it this way?
