Getting WUs now after about 12 hours but am seeing WUs stuck at 0% with this error in the console log:

DEBUG: core: Exception: Failed to verify certificate: Unable to get issuer certificate locally:

Same here.

I think I preferred it when it couldn't get an assignment, at least it kept trying :wink:

PG has been notified that a problem still exists even after a WU has downloaded.

I think it's a little more than just a "problem"… when it occurs it stops the client dead in its tracks, and the only way to get it going again is a manual quit and re-start.

In my book that's a fatal bug.

EDIT: the following is no longer necessary ... see the next two posts.

If you clear the browser's cache under Settings, Advanced Settings, Privacy, "Clear browsing data..." the processing will proceed after reloading the tab that is running the APP. However, you will have to re-enter your identity info if you don't remove the check in the box next to "Cookies and other site and plug-in data" before clicking on the second and final "Clear browsing data". This work-around will probably be handled automatically in the near future.

It shouldn't require the clearing of the cache now.

I saw that my browser was stuck on 0% so what I did was to refresh the page, when it asked if I wanted to leave or stay, I chose leave and once the page was reloaded, it download the FahCore and then the WU and started to fold without any issues. I didn't have to reenter any details of mine since they were already present.

Unfortunately that is exactly what I had to do to fix this problem.

Has the cache on that machine been cleared? ... perhaps manually and/or perhaps due to the normal expiration of data?

Not that I know of… and I'm not sure how something my end would give console log entries containing:

DEBUG: WS: {… "ws":"0.0.0.0","project":0,"core_url":"web.stanford.edu/~pande/UNKNOWN/UNKNOWN"}

and

DEBUG: WS: {… "ts":"<invalid>","ws":"0.0.0.0","project":0 …}

I'm still seeing assignment delays of up to a couple of minutes on about a third to a half of the WUs and an occasional delay of five minutes or more, and it's the same on two machines.

Whatever the cause, it looks as though it may be getting back to normal- still a few taking 10 seconds or so, but no errors or timeouts in the last hour causing a re-try.

Fingers crossed...
