I am also having the same problem:

I did not see 171.67.108.105 listed on their servers list @ http://fah-web.stanford.edu/pybeta/serverstat.html, so I wonder if it's a url typo or a problematic server. Hopefully Bruce or another admin can shed some light on this

Same problem. Reboot got me going again. Set up crontab jobs to reboot every two hours. I hope this gets straightened out soon.

Now this is interesting, I'm having the problem repeatedly on my rig running client control 7.4.16. On my pc running 7.4.4 the error shows up repeatedly in the log but it eventually gets work and starts folding again.

My client has been trying to get a new wu over the last 11-12hrs on 171.67.108.45, 171.67.108.105 & 171.67.108.102 and still nothing.

EDIT: Just checked again and its managed to DL one from 171.67.108.102 so all is good for the next 3hrs :lol:

We'll see what happens after that :roll:

work around for work assignment failure on Linux

My failures to assign work assignments were from 171.67.108.105
I executed the following on the command line and am going again after pausing and starting. Sometimes rebooting got me going but this time no matter what else I tried the FS was hung up.

Shouldn't 171.67.108.45 detect that same client or IP is asking again for WS and assign another work server instead of dumbly assigning the same one again and again and again??
An even better option would be to implement in the next FAHClient version the fact that when the WS did not assign a WU, FAHClient gives this information, alongside with the IP of the faulty WS, on its next WU request so that a different WS should be assigned. And several requests like this should raise an alarm about the faulty WS.

Everyone is having this problem today. For what worked for me see
