Web control keeps reloading with no configuration

Postby Stephenish » Sun Jul 16, 2017 9:28 pm

F@H client has stopped operating since I set the web control to only allow operation while idle.

The configuration information is wiped and won't allow changes as the web control is looped into reloading the web page every few seconds.

Pardon me, but I took a jpeg snip of the web control screen and am unable to post.

In addition, the screen saver has stopped working under Windows 10. The screen won't time out normally.

From what I can see on the advanced control window, there's no problem.... which doesn't mean you don't have a problem, only that we need to see more information to identify your problem. See the link below (in my signature block).

One comment, though: I would not set all three GPUs to "idle." Each slot can be set independently and I'd just set the GPU that drives my screen for idle, leaving the other two to run continuously.

Strictly guessing ... but one possibility for the WebClient issue is that you've made a change to some of your security software and it's now blocking your browser from connecting to FAHClient -- or maybe JavaScript has been blocked in your browser.

Do you get an error if you open http://127.0.0.1:7396?

JavaScript has not been blocked in the browser. The http://127.0.0.1:7396 yields the malfunctioning web control page.

Give us some information. The log shown a few posts earlier looks like FAH is working, but only when your system is idle.

As I suggested earlier, there's no point in setting all three slots to idle. Start by removing that setting and then tell us what you're trying to accomplish with that setting.

F@H is always in idle, even when the machine is idle. The state won't change.

Here's an image after several hours of idle.
The web control is constantly updating and won't allow a change to the idle setting.

ok, I solved the issue by deleting "idle true" manually from all slots in the advanced control

are there cookies to delete, or some such?
or do I simply forego use of the web control?
