Postby papanugget06 » Thu Jan 18, 2018 1:53 am

I just installed the windows version for CPU folding but the FAHControl is not connecting. What are possible issues? :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?:

We need to see the log (see below).

Most likely you have a firewall that's preventing FAHControl from talking to FAHClient and the warning messages are suppressed.

I understand there was a power failure at Stanford yesterday, messing up many of the VM servers. By now I expect things have been resolved.

As a general rule, the message pair
Connecting to xxx.xx.xxx.xx(:yy)
Exception: 10001: Server responded: HTTP_SERVICE_UNAVAILABLE
(or other messages implying it couldn't connect)
can be a problem with your security software or with the server, itself. Do attempt to open xxx.xx.xxx.xx(:yy) in your browser. If it opens, the server is fine. If it doesn't, try temporarily disabling your security software and try again before reporting it as a server problem.
