You may have noticed that one of the forum's key participants "7im" has been silent for a while.
Word has now reached me that Timothy Braun as died.

I'm not going to suggest how you should respond, but by providing this information, I offer you the opportunity to make your own choice.

Personally, I really miss him.

Thank you for sharing ... I had noticed he was less and less active.

While communication was not always easy 7im supported over a long period the community in various ways and was willing to share his time, experience and knowledge with dedication.

Rest In Peace 7im; we keep folding here ...
CV
(which on a personal side note 7im used the first time; and I really liked it and continued using it)

7im has helped me so much over the years with folding. Last, he helped me get my 1080Ti working on a Linux box after I had been wasting so much time trying to figure out why it wasn't. I'm sure many others have the same experience.

This just feels unreal, and is a massive loss to the community. Rest in peace Timothy "7im" Braun, you are so missed.

It is difficult to look at his last post from 5 July and then realize he passed away 23 days later. This is why I fold. Sometimes over at the EVGA forums we have a dedicated folding day for someone like 7im when they pass away due to a disease like cancer/leukemia/etc. I don't know if this is a good idea here but maybe it's worth considering.

Wow...

We had differences of opinion and we had our agreements, but in the end I could always tell you cared about the Folding@home project and were making a difference in your way, especially through your dedication to these forums. Requiescat in pace, Tim.

I am shocked, and saddened, I held this member in the greatest respect, I will not pretend he was not at times abrasive, but his intent was always for the good of the project in my opinion. I personally benefited from his input and always read his posts carefully.
Respect.
