Get yourself a good anti-virus program like Kaspersky or NOD32. Then keep it updated.

Very rarely are pedople hacked, or unknowingly infected. 99% of infections come from people ewildly clicking on likes in emails, messangers, or pop ups.

The person who comes up with an antivirus that lives within cyberspace and eliminates bugs, spyware and spam proactively as they pass over the network will probably make an absolute fortune.

Also using an operating system that isnt made by Microsoft will drastically decrease the likelihood of you getting most types of malware and virii. As long as you keep it updated and dont do anything stupid you could generally have quite an enjoyable life online.

I've been using ZoneAlarm internet security since it's advent as a firewall. Never had a problem. Just remember that any internet security is only as good as the permissions a user allows during "learning" mode at installation. If unsure say no. You can always say yes later if you get bad results
