Several of my work units over the past two weeks have given me the same message where there is no record of the unit. In my case it was with two Core_78 and one GPU work unit that failed to transmit. I am not sure what causes this but maybe the server that handed out the work unit is offline.

Yeah, I assumed this'd be the reason...

I'm wondering whether I'm going to have to kill the work unit off and give up - it's wasting a hell of a lot of bandwidth trying to upload 100MB time after time.

FEATURE REQUEST:
Please add menu support for > 8 cores to the distribution.

Chips and VM solutions to support it are not far out. ;)

It may be worth posting a message in the issues for a specific WU section to see if someone here has an idea as to why there is no record of the work unit.

you need to add auto backup that does it at Set times like frednotfred as i wasted 2.5 days when i used VM 1.1, on top of that even when i Did do Manuel backups it seems like they do not work when you press restore seemed to have failed for me,

the web interface needs finishing off as the main page should be where you select different pages or just support frednotfred apart form the errors i get in the console it works same speed as yours

i am no linux programmer so once it goes beyond web interface and it requires console then it is not easy to use for any one els

I plan to add something like an hourly backup to the image. I am still trying to determine the best way to set this up considering the large quantity of data involved with -bigadv. Currently there are at least two backup script implementations that other people wrote for this image:

Please don't make it mandatory, just make it optional, as always. I don't need it, as my rig is 99.99% stable @ 4.2GHz. I do manual backups from time to time.

i get no performance loss with the backup set to 45mins on my frednotfred client, just make it overwrite the back up every Set time (Default i would say ticked as the user can have the option to untick it if they wish most who are going to be using frednotfred or linuxfah VM one are not very good with linux any way get the web interface sorted out)

It turns out that VMware released a new player version, 3.0.1. It has been reported that this version is limited to 4-cores. Based on that, I would suggest not installing the upgrade if using more than 4 cores.

Why not just get it direct from the VMware site?

Right! Didn't even look, just posted it if anyone needs it, thinking it might be removed in favor of newer version.
EDIT: ...and in case that someone hates making accounts just to download a file. :x
