Only this combination of servers didn't the job.
For information I put here lot of data from my log file.

The PC is still in pause but I take the chance to go on work here and maybe lose:
Slot 07 Done
Project: 6314 (Run 392, Clone 19, Gen 13), Core: 78
Work server: 171.64.65.111:8080
Collection server: 171.67.108.17
Download date: April 2 11:00:27
Finished date: April 3 02:33:59
Failed uploads: 6

We shall see.
The moderators can correct me, but if you're worried about losing a completed WU b/c it gets over written, my understanding is that the program knows to skip occupied slots.
Your are right here. Slot 7 is still waiting to be uploaded. Failed uploads is now 10.
Due to an other problem I am pretty sure that I have lost one project.

Which server did you get an assignment from? 171.67.108.17 is a collection server, so it shouldn't have any WUs to distribute and as far as I know, 171.64.65.111 has not yet been repaired.

Did you read and follow the instructions here? Subject: Do this first
They are trying to send to both 171.64.65.111 and 171.67.108.17 with no luck. But I think one vanished but didn't see any record of it being counted. Yeah I did that and I read this topic before posting.

That's because somebody is working hard to correct whatever is wrong and the only thing anybody can tell you is that it will be fixed whenever they finish.
I know they are working hard. I am patient, I didn't say that to make it sound like OMG WTF IS GOING ON. I've been watching it for a couple days now. I was just curious about the status is all. If it was a big problem then I'd be like ok good luck with the problem and thanks for letting us know so we aren't watching it all day long on the status page lol.

That's exactly what you would expect when the Connection Status is "Reject"
I've never tried to view it when it was in Reject before so I had no idea.

I have a completed WU with the classic systray client waiting to upload as well and got this in my log file. I have been told that code 503 means that the server is busy or down. It has now 6 hours later and the client has tried to upload the WU again and has failed again.

Two of my older machines are not receiving units. What exactly is going on? This issue is wasting a lot of time in computing power.

It's backup but it's CPU LOAD is 16.47 so it will take time. As long as the deadline dates don't pass by there should be no problem with waiting.

Take it easy, guys. You can always tune your config a little to get another Wu if you feel your CPU cycles are wasted - otherwise just be patient. I had had four clients to upload results and obtain new Wu's, and over last couple of days it got done. Not all at once, but the last received a Wu just an hour ago.

Did it upload to the WS (171.64.65.111) or to the CS? (171.67.108.17)?

It does look like 171.64.65.111 was up for a couple of hours today and it accepted something on the order of 7000-8000 WUs. Unfortunately it went back down again. :(

Yeah mine weren't lucky enough to get through. But my WU deadline isn't until May 10th so I can wait the science will still be used so I can be paitent.

Yup. Uploaded to WS .111 on April 6 18:33:44, downloaded another 6316 yesterday:

Code: Select all

--- Opening Log file [April 7 20:27:34] (...)
[20:27:37] - Preparing to get new work unit...
[20:27:37] - Presenting message box asking to network.
[20:27:38] + Attempting to get work packet
[20:27:38] - Connecting to assignment server
[20:27:43] - Successful: assigned to (171.64.65.111).
[20:27:43] + News From Folding@Home: Welcome to Folding@Home
[20:27:43] Loaded queue successfully.
[20:28:05] + Connections closed: You may now disconnect
[20:28:09]
[20:28:09] + Processing work unit
Now I have another pair of clients ready for refill - for the last umpteen hrs .111 have been in Reject mode again. And the CS "could not connect" too, even as according to serverstats it should be working.

Promotol? Those are those cool ones that give you the big version message at the beginning each time you start F@H isn't it? I thought those were so cool when I first got one.... haha Geek moment. Well the CPU LOAD is at 2.10 so hopefully soon.

Yeah it got uploaded. To be fair I had to turn off my anti-virus internet protection for it to finally upload. I don't know if it was blocking it somehow (maybe because of it's size with Big WU's turned on) or it just was finally able to connect. Stupid antivirus software. I won't say which because I don't want to be promoting anything even thou I like it but the newer versions don't have ad-blocker or I'd upgrade today :(
