Yes I know you have a massive power supply, but still...

Heh, forgot about that one. Even with a monster like that, if the load on the multiple +12v rails is way out of balance, or if one rail is overloaded, instability is possible. It's the Sherlock Holmes theory of troubleshooting. Eliminate all other possible causes, and whatever is left is the cause. ;)

Hi.

When I try to extract the zip file containing the .MSI instaler, it says that the file is Broken/corrupt. :?: Tried with 7zip and winrar, same result with both...
What should I do? I really want to start folding with my 3870 :(
(yes I'm a noob :( )
Cheers

Hello freak627, welcome to the forum.

Reset your router and clear your browser cache. Or disable the software/firewall interfering with the download. Or download from another location. The file source is fine, it's getting killed in the download somewhere.

To assure the Folding@home clients are safe, Stanford does not allow their software to be mirrored. Can you try the download from Work, School, Mom's?

I had the "corrupt" message and just had to download and install a good one. I had a computer stability issue to deal with.

The cause is unclear. Bad work units, buggy beta client, etc. Here is what's known... (not much)

Out of the last 5 units worked, only 2 have completed normally the other 3 all EUE with Code 72 and mdrun_gpu = -1

Can you post the information about the units that passed and failed (unit #, gen, etc. and the point it errored out)?

This message of mine was not answered so I'm reposting.

I use a pretty simple proxy software to connect to the net through my other computer. FAH downloads wu's just fine but can't upload them. I get this message for all the units:

[12:07:40] + Attempting to send results
[12:13:45] - Unknown packet returned from server, expected ACK for results
[12:13:45] Could not transmit unit 05 to Collection server; keeping in queue.

Pls help! Myself I'm wondering if a more sophisticated proxy software might solve this problem but what do I know...

My GPUs are also out of work and the .103 server isn't responding on 8080. Probably already been reported, but I figured I'd add mine to the bunch.

thanks!

Looks like everything is back up and running. Both my GPUs have work.

Thanks!
