Hello World,

I've been gone from the F@H world for quite a while, but I have build a new system with an Intel i5 2500 and 8gb of RAM and decided to put it to good use. :D

I have installed the Windows SMP2 beta client and it is working on P6972 R0 C70 G243 as I write this. I just have two questions at this time:

Is the SMP2 client 32bit only? I couldn't find a link to dl a 64bit one.

Also, is this average performance for the kind of WU's floating around these days?

Code: Select all
[16:56:00] Completed 0 out of 500000 steps  (0%)
[17:00:18] Completed 5000 out of 500000 steps  (1%)
[17:04:33] Completed 10000 out of 500000 steps  (2%)
[17:08:53] Completed 15000 out of 500000 steps  (3%)
[17:13:14] Completed 20000 out of 500000 steps  (4%)
[17:17:35] Completed 25000 out of 500000 steps  (5%)
[17:22:11] Completed 30000 out of 500000 steps  (6%)

Seems to be about 1% every 4minutes 20 seconds.

Thanks for your answers,

E

Yes, the client is 32 bit only. However, the some of the fahcores are 64 bit, and since they do the work, that's all the matters. ;)

Yes, that is average for that WU and hardware.
