you can see through logs, the download progress is stacked at 44.33% for several minutes .The network is normal ,because uploading is correct .So I quit fah directly ,and go back to WCG.
Is this a bug ?Does FAH have download timeout & retry mechanism ?Is uploading affected downloading ,and cause downloading failure ?

Certainly possible. And could explain your issue of not getting bonus points in your other thread. The server has a record of you downloading a new WU. It probably doesn't matter that the download didn't complete. Now, when the preferred deadline passes the WU will be issued to someone else and you will be charged for the failure to return the WU, lowering your success rate. If your not going to fold continuously you should be using V7's version of the oneunit flag. I have a feeling all this quiting F@H every time you don't get bonus points is the very reason your not getting bonus points. Your creating your own problem. Which also explains why no one else is have the same issue as you with bonus points. This is especially bad for you because your success rate is right at 80%. All it takes is one WU not returned to drop you below 80%.

It`s first time FAH failed download.It never happened before.
I use max-uints(oneuint) each time when I pause v7 and go back to WCG.So my successive rate may have no relationship with download failure .
I watch my log everyday(those logs I had email to you before, you can check them by yourself )

can you query FAH db directly and tell me what time and which wu cause my successive rate drop down .Please don't guess .I had give all data(there no problem in them ) to you .its your turn to give data to convince me that my successive rate drop down is normal ,there is no problem in stat system .
People don't report bonus problem is not stand for there is no bonus missing .Because people cannot query bonus through you site .I found out my bonus missing because I often check my points through EOC site,not your fah site (your site don't have this basic function )

Again, lots of people of people watch their stats on EOC. If there was a ststs problem, other people would have reported it.

You said v6 client worked well, but you had problems with V7. If v6 worked well then it is NOT a stats problem,or v6 would not have worked

The problem happened while running V7. Let's focus on that.


So here is one V7 problem that was recently fixed. The finish (oneunit) command in earlier versions would download another work unit at 99% of the current work unit. So each time you used the Finish option and then didn't fold for a while, the client had a work unit that expired a few days later, which lowered your completion percentage.

Throw in an ocassional download problem or a bad work unit, and it is easy to see how this happened.

But each time I leave FAH for a while .I used max-units (not finish button ).And I had check log each time ,v7 didnt download extra WU.So I can make sure there is no WU expired for me.(Or 7im you can get my history logs from ChelseaOilman to check it)

Consider using the "Finish" function in FAHControl rather than the maxuints (oneunit). I think it will accomplish the same thing you're trying to do and it may avoid some of problems you're having. the Finish function will suspend processing of a specific slot after the current WU uploads the result (which is what the oneunit flag was originally designed to do. FAHClient and FAHControl will remain essentially idle until you either shut them down or you click on Fold to start a new WU.

When you're ready to return to FAH, either start V7 (if it was shut down) or click on Fold (if it's sitting there idle).

In the case of the upload that was stuck at 44.33%, I can't explain it. Has it happened frequently? That could explain the 80% failure rate. I don't see any other reports like that so it's probably something unexpected happening on your end of the connection but there's no real evidence either way.

It is the first time I encounter download stuck .Because I do not often run FAH now .I report it immediately .
But My FAH friends encounter download stuck frequently.Waste too many CPU times (one of them even stuck for several days until he noticed ppd drop and restart that fahclient manually ) ,So I just want to know If v7 have download timeout and retry function ?

i reinstall the client and there is not logs ,

I have a slow connection so while the finished WU uploads , the next WU begins to download but it stops and there is no request time out error or anything

just hanging at random percent . It's is not a specific percentage. and while it's stopped i check the connection and it's OK , The client doesn't show timeout error or anything just like that

ABBAS, if you are running Windows 7, your log files are normally located at C:\Users\[user]\AppData\Roaming\FAHClient\logs
You can check there. How long does it hang for? Does it ever pick up again? The log should provide some helpful clues.

I'd like to report a bug, which I did not see in Trac's list of Active Tickets. Priority is probably an 8 (perhaps a 9), and applies to FAHControl. The problem is that the tooltip text does not always disappear.

I've tested this in Windows 7 64-bit SP1, though it probably occurs on other Windows OSs such as XP or Vista. You can reproduce the problem by maximizing FAHControl, making another window cover only part of the screen, hover your mouse (don't click) over a FAHControl component to make the tooltip appear, and maximizing that other window. Another way to reproduce it is by viewing FAHControl, and then pressing the Windows key to access the Start Menu and give focus to the Task Bar. Then hover your mouse over a component such as the project description. It says "Project description for the currently selected work unit." Feel free to navigate the Start Menu, and the tooltip will not go away. So long as the mouse does not hover back over FAHControl, it is possible to open another window (such as a Word document) from the Task Bar, with that document filling the entire screen, but the tooltip by itself is still present on the screen. The tooltip will disappear if your mouse contacts it, but other than that it doesn't go away. In fact, the tooltip is present on my screen right now as I'm typing this, even though Chrome is maximized. Perhaps the tooltip could be set to disappear after 10 seconds, or the more permanent solution would be to change its appearance-disappearance logic, though I suspect that is not manually managed by FAHControl.

This machine has XP on it and the tool-tip disappears in about 4 seconds, no matter what I do.
