Welcome to the forum, Juan.
Currently there is no GPU core that works in Linux (nor OSX, for that matter). v7 was written to be as similar as possible across OSes, so the capability to get GPU work is there, and if and when a Linux GPU core is released and work is generated for it, Linux users shouldn't have to upgrade their client to get it. Right now, though, there aren't any servers responding to that inquiry nor is there any work, hence the empty work assignment messages.
The Linux SMP core is known to be more efficient than the Windows one. This isn't always the case, but it has been that way for a while now.
What is happening with these GPU errors in Windows? Posting the relevant section of the log file (old logs can be found in C:\Users\<Name>\AppData\Roaming\FAHClient\logs) in Code tags would aid in determining what the problem is, as would posting the ***System*** portion at the top of the log file and describing what else the computer is doing when these resets occur.
