I have an ATI HD5770, and I can't start folding with it.

What version of the Catalyst drivers are you using?

Here's a couple of threads where people are using the HD5770:

I didn't find a solution on those links. I installed AMD APP SDK, and it also didn't work...
I remember that a few months ago, I tried to fold with the HD5770 and a had a similar problem.

I have a AMD Phenom II X4 955
8GB DDR3
Asus AMD HD5770
Windows 7 SP1 x64

It's so frustrating...

If you had a previous driver installed, especially for an Nvidia card, it never hurts to do a clean install using Driver Sweeper to remove the old drivers. First uninstall the AMD drivers from the Control Panel/Programs and Features, reboot, and then run Driver Sweeper to remove any remnants of both Nvidia and AMD drivers. Also, completely uninstall the FAH Client and all data, and reinstall it. It usually works.

No, that's not the problem. This windows installation has 2 months, and the hardware is still the same. I don't have a Nvidia GPU for 5 years long or so....

PS: I tried to remove ATI drivers anyway, and used Driver Sweep to remove all ATI drivers. Then, I installed the Catalyst 12.8 again, but i get the same error.... Right now, I can't uninstall FAH client, because I have a SMP WU going on, but when this WU is done, I will try to reinstall FAH. But I don't think that is going to work....

I had updated the first post with my system log. I hope you can help me.
The log "showing the GPU trying to fold". I think the GPU don't even start to fold... It's an endless loop of this error. But here is the log that I got right now:

To post the System Info section of the log click on Refresh above the log window. Scroll up to the top of the log.
Copy from the top down to </config> and paste.

Initial appearance is that driver is okay, because the client recognizes the card, and downloads a work units, but then fails.

The initial cause is not obvious. Make sure the card is well seated. Make sure the extra power connector is well connected. What size is the PSU? New card, or does it need the dust blown out?
