My GPU client was idle from about 8am EST till about 10 minutes ago (10:30AM EST). It was trying to send a complete WU and download another for 2.5 hours but connection would fail. However stanford's website still seems to be down.

The temporary downtime was mentioned in Vijay's blog yesterday (and today as a reminder): http://folding.typepad.com/news/2011/03 ... -time.html

Connected to this, the server status pages appear to have stopped updating on the 30th. At least the classic server subset that I check to see if work is still available for my PPC OS X box was last updated then. Any idea when those will be back?

All of fah-web.stanford.edu appears to be down at the moment. After a significant amount of time attempted to load, Chrome throws the "could not connect to fah-web.stanford.edu" message for any page under that domain, including including server, team, and user stats.

Thanks very much for sharing that site. I didn't know about it until now. Very handy. :)

There is an active server alert: https://gadgets.stanford.edu/prod/mmr/c ... lerts.cgi#

It may be just a symptom of the actual problem but it is being worked on.

fah-web.standford.edu is still down for me in Maine - www.downforeveryoneorjustme.com is also reporting it as down.

This also means none of the major stats sites haven't gotten their files to update, nor has my smaller private stats system.

Reporting server down?

Post by rjohnson11 »

When I attempt to go here:

http://fah-web.stanford.edu/cgi-bin/mai ... rjohnson11

I get a time out. Is the server down?
