brief downtime 128.143.231.201 [corrected]

We're upgrading some software; it shouldn't take long (i.e. hopefully less than an hour).

128.143.231.201 not assigning work

Is there a problem there?
If so I can switch to smp for awhile.

128.143.231.201, down?

Post by Leonardo »

I read the posts concerning 128.143.231.202, but did not seen anything concerning ~201. Is it malfunctioning, or down for updates?

I just returned from out of town and started three computers/three clients, all client 6.34, bigadv, on Ubuntu 10.10. All three clients are failing to obtain new new work units. All client logs are showing the following, or very similar to it:

Code: Select all

You posted while I was composing a message. Same problem with my clients, three of them. It would appear there's a server problem. Yeah, I might temporarily switch to SMP as well. We'll see how long this issue lasts.

I guess so, I just posted about it myself.
May switch to smp for a bit.

Apologies--I noted the server incorrectly. The server is up and running now, although it was low on jobs at last check.

I also found a configuration change that accompanied the upgrade (a new default was blocking job assigns). I think that should be fixed now.
