Failed WU, how to delete it

Running Windows 7, 64 bit and I have a failed work unit. How do I remove it since it's been there since I began folding a few days ago. It tries to load, but it fails each time.

GPU:0:ATI:4 Cedar PRO [Radeon HD 5450]

Intel Q9450; 2x2GB=8GB Ram; Gigabyte GA-X48-DS4 Motherboard; PC Power and Cooling Q750 PS; 2x GTX 460; Windows Server 2008 X64 (SP1).

Intel Q6600; 2x2GB=4GB Ram; Gigabyte GA-X48-DS4 Motherboard; PC Power and Cooling Q750 PS; 2x GTX 460 video card; Windows 7 X64.

Machine 3:

Dell Dimension 8400, 3.2GHz P4 4x512GB Ram, Video card GTX 460, Windows 7 X32

I am currently folding just on the 5x GTX 460's for aprox. 70K PPD

I would like to see the log (between [code] and [/code] tags) to find out what is going on before recommending a process to dump it.

I shut down the computer at night, so this is all the log I have with the WU mentioned in it. It has a status of paused currently, but when it starts or tries to, it fails and turns red.

Something is happening. I upped it from medium to high usage. It seemed to download another wu for slot 0.

Please PAUSE the GPU slot until this can be resolved and then run WUs one at a time until you've confirmed it works. Dumping a long series of WUs is, to say the least, undesirable.

Remove the setting -gpu-vendor ati from your configuration.

Is your GPU overclocked?

Personally, I've had some troubles with a HD5450. FahCore_17 may have unresolved issues for certain low-end GPUs. I'll need to reinstall my GPU on my WIndows system so I can do additional testing.

I am having the same problem. I'm using an AMD Radeon HD 5450, no overclocking. I have the latest drivers installed, and I don't think it's a driver issue; everything was working fine up until a couple months ago, then it suddenly started happening, and I did not update my drivers at that time AFAIK.
I have noticed that every WU I've seen since the failures started seems to be from project 8900; I wonder if that has anything to do with it?

You can guaranty no Core_17 (p8900) by using v6 of the client.

Has it been p8900 since V7 came out, though? Because I had been using V7 successfully for months before the errors started. I know its been 8900 every time I've looked since then, but I don't know whether it was 8900 before then.
Also, it took me days to get V6 working the first time, and I wiped it when I installed 7. I don't want to downgrade if I can help it.
A couple days ago I noticed that it was working again, briefly. I think that it was running a non-8900 WU at the time. Is there anyway of forcing it to download a non-8900 WU to test that?

There have been a lot of problem reports with the 5xxx series cards and Core_17. Even if your card works for Core_17 (There have been few successful resolutions to Core_17 problem threads on those video cards) the PPD is going to suck compared to Core_15 because the card is very low-end and most of Core_17's points come form QRB so you will get little to none of that.

My opinion: it is worth doing, if points matter to you.

P.S. no, I know of no way to force v7 to give you a Core_15 WU. With v7 You get what it give you and GPU's.txt says your card can do them so they will be given. V6 can't run Core_17 so it guarantees Core_11 (rarely) or Core_15.

Still - I was running V7 for months with no failed WU, then suddenly I am failing every WU. What changed?
Also - could I edit GPUs.txt to say it can't do them?

Welcome to the F@H Forum macdjord,

In November 2013, FahCore_17 was released to full F@H (https://folding.stanford.edu/home/chang ... -full-fah/). Prior to that, you had to opt-in by using setting the client-type to advanced to get FahCore_17 WUs.

Modifying the GPUs.txt file isn't going to do you much good since the master file is on the F@H Servers which can't be modified by the donors.

Is there any plans to change or fix this, then?
Also, if I'm not the only one having problems running Core_17 WUs on this model of GPU, maybe someone should change the master GPUs.txt file.
