Ponts and WU spike on March 30 & 31

Post by snapshot »

On March 30th and 31st some teams seem to have had a massive spike in work units and points. Sometimes it seems to be a jump in WUs without a jump in points but for others it can be three or four times that team's normal daily production. Looking at the stats on EOC these spikes are quite obvious and widespread. In one case it added around 15% to a team's total. Is this some kind of stats server 'catch-up' or 'cock-up'?

My understanding is that a couple of work servers were not talking to the stats server due to issues in the firewall at the site hosting the work servers. This was fixed when donors complained and the points have now been added.
