Newbie wondering if I messed something up

Hello, I used FAH for a little bit without using a name or key pass or anything of the sort; I randomly decided to go ahead and make a name, then thought why not go for the pass? I did that, and after it added an underscore between my first/last name my score reset to zero. Personally, I don't entirely care for points if they are just for show, I mainly care about contributing ; but, I'm worried I am not. It says the estimated time for the current project section it's working on will be done in a few hours, and it definitely is doing something, but it doesn't seem to be connecting or something. Example, when I go to the protein viewer, it simply displays a sample protein and infinitely says, "attempting to connect". In the log it says something about connection abortions by the software:

There's a little snippet. Perhaps, is my firewall blocking the program? If so, I'll port forward and add policies to allow it (it's just a personal laptop).

Every time you change the pass key, you will contribute points to a 'new user'.
The best is that you register for a valid passkey, here:
https://apps.foldingathome.org/getpasskey

Save the information in a safe location (like in an email or so), so you can contribute to the right username and passkey.

Yes, the the protein viewer doesn't work the way I think it should. There's an open bug ticket, but there's no way to tell when it might be fixed.
