can not see preferences

Post by zw3ist3in »

Hi,
im new to the topic of folding.

I installed (macOS) it and when I wanted to add my graphics card it stopped working and does only show this at startup:

On client "local" 127.0.0.1:36330: Option 'gpu-index' has no default and is not set.
iter should be a GtkTreeIter

also I don't have access to the configuration. There I only see the "Connection" Tab and in the top it says "updating" in yellow.

Sorry for my English, I didn't manage to get screenshots in this post..

My System is a 8700K and a 5700XT running macOS.

Folding with a GPU is not supported on OS-X (except maybe through bootcamp)

Go to /Library/Application Support/FAHClient and try removing the file named config.xml to the Trash and reboot the computer. That may be enough to have the client software return to a default setup without a GPU slot created. If this does not work it will take a full uninstall and reinstall.

The uninstall, go to the Folding@home folder in the Applications folder, inside an Uninstall package is included. Run that. Then go to /Library/Application Support/ and move the FAHClient folder to the Trash. You should be able to reinstall Folding@home after this.
