2080ti OpenCL Not detected: clGetDeviceIDs() returned -1

I installed 7.6.9 and have not been able to get my GPU running.

I've pulled the GPUs.txt and added it to my FAH directory replacing the old version. Restarted and still am unable to get my gpu to start.

The error is pointing to a missing install of support for OpenCL, or the setup pointing to the wrong device.

If installed on Windows or Linux, drivers and OpenCL support from nVidia needs to be installed. Then the FAHClient software gets installed after that.

If you could post the first couple hundred lines of your log file, that would be useful in seeing what the client detected on installation, and how the systems is set up. Information on locating and posting the log file is part of the Welcome topic - viewtopic.php?f=61&t=26036.

I've tried adding my GPU multiple times it will not add it to the slot list. Which file would the gpu=false be located? I don't see it in the config file.

Currently GPU is ion Ready Status in Folding Slots but Work Queue is in status download and will not start.

download means it is trying to get work. it doesn't have any yet - there is a shortage unfortunately. try pausing the gpu slot (right click on the slot using Advanced Control and select pause), then wait for a few minutes and then right click to select fold again. You may get lucky and get some work.

However! I don't think your drivers are correctly installed. can you repost the beginning of the current log?

You have very high-end hardware and it isn't a simple config with such a beast. I would think you should have two folding slots for that cpu because there isn't much work that will work on a 64-thread slot. Search your Windows user directory for config.xml. If you could paste its contents into a post here (delete the line that contains your passkey!) we might be able to suggest how to get the most our of your system

I did see this in the logs

On the GPU front … "03:04:02: OpenCL: Not detected: clGetDeviceIDs() returned -1" makes me believe that your OpenCL drivers are not installed correctly … Are you using the latest drivers from nvidia (latest is 445.87 I think) - I believe these should have the OpenCL drivers incorporated.

On the CPU front you have a 30core slot configured I think - which is not particularly advisable - dropping this to 24core and maybe running a 6core as well should reduce the number of errors on that.

It's working now needed to manually set the opencl-index to 0 as well as the gpu and cuda index to 0
