Missing Completed Work Units

Post by BeauZaux »

On my client logs, I have several completed, uploaded, and pointed WUs that do not show up on foldingathome cpu app.
Is there anywhere else to look for them?
Knowing they were faulty could possibly help me to prevent them in the future.
Thanks

Welcome to the F@H Forum BeauZaux,

Can you please post the log file? Ensure you include the first 100 lines which will inform us of what the system configuration is and what the client settings are. If you require guidance, please view this topic: viewtopic.php?f=24&t=26036

To manually check the status of the WU, you can use this Web App: https://apps.foldingathome.org/wu

There can be delays in a stats report for WUs getting to the database. Under the current high network loads for the servers, this has happened more frequently, especially if a WU ends up being returned to a Collection Server as backup instead of directly to the Work Server.

If the WUs still have not shown up in the stats, providing the log information can help track down problems with specific servers. Post sections of the log showing the WU being uploaded and to which server address.

... at least one server appears to have an issue at the moment - viewtopic.php?f=18&t=35505 - tbh hope it is this one as well in this case rather than another one !!

After watching further, I'm finding some of the WU's listed yesterday on the app foldingathome cpu are gone today.
I guess I need to build a better a manual log to see which machines, what projects and what servers are doing this.
Not running FAH on this machine, but on 4 others. And only running at night, so I assume log files are gone after shutdown, unless there's a archive i don't know about.
Will post logs at next opportunity.
Thanks

I'm sorry, this is a problem of my assumption of the purpose of the app.foldingathome.org/cpu web site. It is only a listing of cpu's, the NOT ALL of the WU's or credits from those cpu's (GPU's).
Is there such a log or site that maintains this data?
Sorry again.
Thanks

Officially, there's no source for that. However, you can maintain it yourself by using either of these methods:
1) Review your log files. The default configuration is to store the last 16 logs in the logs folder.
2) Install HFM.NET and let it monitor all your local clients and it builds a database (https://github.com/harlam357/hfm-net).
