You may need to wait a bit for the server copy to get updated from the edit just made to add the GPU back in again. Try again in an hour or so.

Everyone: I really appreciate all the helpful responses. I didn't know anything about how F&H works on the client side. I know more now!
Whoever added my 2070 to the GPUs.txt file - THANK YOU. I think it was you @joe_h.

To future readers of this thread: Joe fixed the file, and it just had to replicate to my system. To speed that up, I just deleted GPUs.txt from users\*username*\Roaming\FAHClient. Then I stopped F&H and restarted. That forced the new txt file to download, WHICH HAD MY CARD. Then I created a new slot for GPU using Advanced Control.

Thanks again for fixing it. Now my GPU is a furnace again : )

 And credit for removing it goes to me.

My mistake. :!: I processed a question about whether it was a valid entry or not and I checked another site and it was unknown there so I took their word for the suggested statement that it was a typo.

Sorrry, folks.

Bruce - I can't believe you made a mistake like humans do ; )

Everyone figured it out, so hey, it's all good. I always appreciate when people fess up with mistakes, that's how we learn things. Or at least I learn from messing things up!

I believe in fessing up to my mistakes ... but I'm pretty sure I'll get some flack from others who aren't as understanding as you are.

I know we do have a percentage of people who like to find (valid) reasons to criticize. I've got a pretty thick skin. If I didn't, I wouldn't have been in this job for as long as I have.

Think the GPUs.txt file has been corrected with new entry. I had a similar/identical problem with one of my 2070S and now it's corrected.

Off topic, but how long will it take to whitelist the GeForce RTX 3080 Ampere after it is released on September 17th?

Someone has to buy one and tell us the Device ID from GPU-Z or some other reliable source.

Then one of the volunteers here enters the data at the server, and within 24 hours it is pushed to all the clients.

It takes a few hours to get to all of the servers. Automatic update by the client is about once a month, or any time the GPUs.txt file is not present when starting up the FAHClient process.

See, that is why I should just answer questions I have researched.

I'm more worried about the 24th tbh - if I can persuade the better half to let me splash out - unfortunately I'll also ne a whole new tower to run it in so it may be a tough sell but I'll have a go.

I already got the required data from NV, but they requested that FAH follows the same NDA as reviews, so the new GPUs will be supported by FAH on release. :)
