Linux PopOS and GTX 2060 folds one WU and quits silently

So I have been folding for a couple of months using various setups and operating systems.
This last couple of days I've run into an obstacle with Linux Pop_OS! 20.04 and a brand new RTX 2060.

The CPU slots folds without any problems but the GPU folds one WU and then it considers itself done until I reboot the computer, then it will eventually start again and do ONE WU and go idle in ready state.

I've tried installing the latest FAHclient as per instructions on the official fah website, fahclient_7.6.13_amd64.deb GUI install. when that didn't work as it should, I purghed it and installed the older 7.4.4 with CLI:
sudo dpkg -i --force-depends fahclient_7.4.4_amd64.deb which has worked for me before on other linux installations.

But the results are the same each time.
I've installed the OpenCL and the other dependencies which should be installed and the computer launches games and fahclioent detects my RTX2060, it just want to do one WU and quits silently.

I'm enclosing the log for the latest "full circle" below until I grew tired and restarted the fahclient at the end.

The folding client has long had a bug where it doesn't detect stalled connections. Yours tried to get a new unit but didn't finish the download but the client didn't detect it and was just waiting for it to finish. I also see you had trouble getting the core downloaded and the unit you did run had a download error. Is your internet that unstable or just this computer that has problems?

I finally seem to have found the problem for the one-WU only problem since my installation has been crunching 3 WU during the night. The only difference is that I added the 'fahclient' user to the groups 'render' and 'video' as I found in another thread here on these forums.

Regarding the download speeds / troubles, yes, they have been absolutely ridiculous the last month, I havs 100Mbps fiber that is very stable, but the last month the speeds overseas to the US have dropped completely, especially for the FAH servers, downloading a 3 Mb core takes 10 minutes, a 7 Mb WU takes 15 min and then it gives up etc.
BUT, for the last 12 hours it has worked flawlessly, albeit a bit slow download speeds but no failures. I'll keep monitoring.

Yes, I have been going back an forth a couple of times between 7.6.13 to 7.4.4 but they've yielded the same result until I did the 'fahclient' fix above.
