Hello

Thank you for merging, i searched before posting but it seems that i am not used enough to this forum to find the right place.
It looks like my stats catched up during the night so it's ok again. Not that i was really missing the points but i was afraid that it might be a clue of the WUs beeing lost.

My logging started working again just before 7am this morning and seems to be back working fine (averaging a couple of updates an hour). Thanks to those who got it fixed, it's much appreciated.

I also have this problem. Will it be fixed if I just leave it long enough? I don't have enough points to be on extremeoverclocking. My stats page says Date of last Work Unit: 2020-07-26 14:07:27 but I've finished two since then. I checked the log and I've got WORK-ACK messages and estimated points; I was worried they'd got lost in the ether because my laptop crashed. I wouldn't be that bothered about the points, but the total shown on the web control is the easiest way I can check that things are working and I'm not just wasting processor time and electricity.

It will catch up ... stats delays can happen ... during the march/april surge there were delays on some stats/servers in the weeks but as long as you are seeing the Work Ack messages then they will catch up ... Posting the PRCG and WS/CS for a few missing WUs can sometimes speed up resolution of issues ... but stats issues take back seat to other work on keeping the infrastructure and developments going.

The points should show up eventually, overall stats are being updated on the site. What can happen is that a server is not connecting to the stats database to have its results entered. This can be due to an incorrect setting, a temporary glitch, or something else. Reports are also delayed if the WU is returned to a Collection Server, if there is a delay on the WUs being transferred to the Work Server the points will not be reported until that happens.

What is important is knowing which server IP a WU was uploaded to and whether it was the WS or the CS for that project. With that problems can be tracked down.

Thanks for your replies, Neil-B and Joe_H. That's reassuring, and if it isn't fixed in a few days I'll hunt through the log for that info.

Progress report: the most recently finished WU has appeared in my stats, but the two before it still haven't. I could only find the more recent one in the log (new log file because of a crash, I assume): the PRCG is 14259 (0, 1947, 47) and it was uploaded to 206.223.170.146 at 11:55Z on 29th July. I don't know how to tell whether it's a work server or a collection server.

I saw a report that there was a backlog of unrecorded stats reports. I don't know when it started.

I do know that when there's a stats problem, FAH suupport first identified the problem, second, fixes it for new reports, and third reprocesses the backlog for missing entries. They are very good about the reprocessing step, but it often takes days (even weeks) before those entries are posted.

If your more recent WUs are to a server that it reporting its stats to stats server in a timely manner they can show up even if some onld ones are still waiting to be reported by another server.

Here's another one that finished just over 3 hours ago and hasn't shown up in my stats: PRCG 14256 (0, 512, 369) uploaded to 206.223.170.146. Is it useful to post the numbers here, or do FAH support have a System?

It can be useful to have the PRCG numbers, but in this case the server 206.223.170.146 has been reported as having a number of WUs not showing up in the stats - viewtopic.php?f=18&t=35864. That information has been passed on the person in charge of that server, it should get fixed eventually.

Thanks, Joe_H. At least one of the other WUs I'm missing was uploaded to that server too, so now I know it's on the radar.

It is useful to post PRCG values here and also the log file if you're unsure.

The F@H Support system does contain this Official Forum. There's also Discord, GitHub, Twitter, Reddit and they have their own place too. When it comes to troubleshooting, using Forums can be easier for some when compared to other means :)
