Windows defender just quarantined my client

Post by paulch2 »

Not sure if it was by association, and yes, defender isn't good, but it ended up running on a rebuilt machine that I haven't re-installed anti-virus on yet.

But anyway..

It blocked/quarantined a bunch of folding files as well as a few AMD driver related files.
Classified them as TrojanDropper:Win32/Agent.CK

included FAHCoreWrapper.exe, HideConsole.exe, cufftc64_92.dll and a bunch of ohers.

Restored OK, and defnder killed and replaced with a real AV, but thought it worth a mention.

Every internet security application has an exceptions/exclusions list.
You're recommended to add the Work folder to that list.
Client 7.6.21 "C:\ProgramData\FAHClient"
Up to 7.6.13 "C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\FAHClient"

I also add the Program Files which can be found at "C:\Program Files (x86)\FAHClient"

See Notes at bottom of these pages.

I did that as a precaution on my Win10 (Ryzen 3 3200G) system, in Malwarebytes.
